Welcome to Nisshinkan

Nisshinkan was founded over 300 years ago originally as "Yado Yumoto Yasubei." Located below the symbol of Kusatsu Onsen, Yubatake, our ryokan was one of the few hot springs facilities that can draw water directly from Yubatake, and it has been frequented by notable people from history.

Now, as Nisshinkan, we welcome you with open arms and our exquisite onsen. We look forward to your visit.

About Kusatsu Onsen

Throughout its history, Kusatsu Onesen has been the source of comfort and healing for its patrons. With an output of 36,000 liters of hot spring per minute, Kusatsu Onsen’s hot spring output ranks second in Japan and first as an artisan hot spring. The hot spring of Yubatake is drawn over land and wooden conduits, resulting in an onsen that is rich in minerals and an onsen that has the ideal temperature to provide a relaxing time.

There are Ashiyus (foot baths) and Yumomi (water stirring) shows available around Yubatake for your enjoyment. The distinct sulfur odor of the onsen will complete your experience of Kusatsu Onsen.
